"What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly" - Carl Rogers
I have been clinically practicing for five years, supporting clients with an integrative approach that includes the Person-Centred Approach, CBT, Compassion-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I hold level 5 Diplomas in Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I am accredited with the BACP, which ensures that I maintain the highest standard of ethics, legality and safety with my clients. I am trained to hold sessions online and via telephone and am a member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online.
I have undertaken specialist training in the field of perinatal loss and maternal mental health with Petals Charity, The Foundation for Infant Loss, Make Birth Better, Anxiety UK and the Institute of Health Visiting. I am also a Make Birth Better Champion advocating for those who have experienced birth trauma.
I am a Trustee for pregnancy loss charity, Cradle, and clinically lead their peer-support group, CONNECTED, supporting bereaved mothers, fathers, birthing people and their partners, through their pregnancy loss/es.
I am also a registered practitioner with the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM). I support musicians, actors and performance artists with their mental health issues - particularly anxiety, low self-esteem and loss. I used to be an actor many moons ago so I have a unique understanding of life as a performing artist and the struggles this may bring up.
My private practice operates on Monday, Tuesday and Friday daytimes until 3pm. I have a therapy room located in Denmark Hill as well as working online and via telephone. If you would like to talk more about working with me, please submit an enquiry form I will respond within 48 hours.
