I am very passionate about supporting the mental health of performing artists and have been working therapeutically with arts professionals and theatre companies for over three years.
I trained as an actor over 20 years ago (that's me as Louka in Arms and the Man many moons ago!) and understand the emotional and psychological toll that drama school and the arts industry can have on a performing artist. It is a career unlike any other, and for many of my clients, having a therapist with lived experience of the arts means that I just 'get it'.
I am a registered practitioner with BAPAM providing individual counselling for actors, musicians and dancers online. I have also offered talks to talent agencies on how to support the mental health of their clients.
Some of my other work within this field is providing a wellbeing support service to theatre companies for certain productions that may explore complex or sensitive issues. If you are a producer or director interested in this service for your company, you can find out more below.
If you would like individual counselling with me and are a professional actor, dancer or musician, please visit BAPAM where you can apply for funded therapy via Help for Musicians, the Dancers Professional Fund and Equity
If you are seeking self-funded therapy, you can contact me via the form below to book an introductory call to talk more about how we might be able to work together.

This is a service that I offer to theatre companies that aims to promote and harvest better emotional wellbeing of performers and production staff during rehearsals and the run of a particular show.
This service may include:
Theatre companies and productions I have previously supported include:
SAVVY Theatre Company, Fairfields Hall
In Her Strength, Claire Gilbert Ltd
£1 Thursdays, Finborough Theatre, London
Please do get in touch if this is a service you would like to be able to offer your company members during your next production.
Reaching out can feel daunting. You do not have to have all the right words or even know if therapy is right thing for you at this time.
To get in touch and book an introductory call where we can discuss whether this might be the kind of space you need right now, simply complete the form below.
I aim to respond within 48 hours (Mon-Fri). If you do not hear from me, please check your spam folder as sometimes my emails end up in there.
You have been so helpful to me and I'm truly grateful for all of the time we've spent speaking over the past year. - Client L
